This is a very attractive, small tea set. The cups & tea pot look black when cool but the dragon & phoenix show up brightly when their filled with hot water/tea.You will need to use a stick or spoon as a wick or the hot tea will run under the spout & end up on the floor,table or on you.just put the spout against the wick/spoon or stick with the other end in the cup so the liquid will the follow the wick into the cup.Thank goodness for surface tension!

Super Cute Set, Great Conversation Piece
This set is so ethereally unique. It looks ancient and powerful. I meant to use it frequently but after using it once, I put it in my cabinet for a display piece. I am perfectly happy with that because it really doesn't feel meant to be used. Firstly, the small size of both the teapot and the mugs, lol. Secondly, this is more a piece of art. This set is very, very beautiful and I would be devastated if I broke one of the pieces. Not that it feels fragile, but still. This is a great gift for newlyweds or for a housewarming.
